The Argimusco and its megaliths, the Sicilian Stonehenge

West over Montalbano, along the road connecting the village to Randazzo, at the junction just before entering the woods, you will find the impressive rock formations dell'Argimusco plateau which rises to a height of more than a thousand meters.
On this vast plateau rise huge boulders (megaliths) limestone that wind and rain have eroded, molding them into strange shapes disturbing. Most likely it is natural formations but their form has ignited the imagination of local people.

Visible from a long distance, the Argimusco created in many the idea that in the past has been a sacred place, where you ate ancient rites and thanksgiving that evoke rites and mysteries lost in the mists of time.
